KP Snacks was delighted to participate in Feeding Britain’s Future 2014 – a nationwide campaign aiming to help tackle youth unemployment in the UK and introduce young people to the industry and help them learn of the career opportunities to be had in the food and drink sector.

Feeding Britain’s future is an initiative led by The Institute of Grocery Distribution, which includes over 200 food and grocery companies from across the industry. For the third year running, we have hosted successful workshops for young people at our manufacturing sites.

We have run sessions at our Teesside, Ashby and Hellaby sites, each of which were well attended by young and local unemployed people. The workshops included introductions to the food industry, as well as site visits; sessions on Health and Safety and Food Safety; food sensory training and classes in CV preparation and interview skills.
